About the event

This workshop is focused on the study and practice of the royal poses headstand and shoulder stand and their respective cycles. These poses are known as the royal poses bc they offer the most health benefits of all the poses. This month’s workshop will highlight shoulder stand, its cycles, and multitude of variations.  This is an all levels workshop with a focus on in-depth alignment, posture structure, vayu activity and flow of awareness within the kosas. Registration is required so that each participant has access to the required yoga props.  Please note:

  • Anyone who is suffering from heart malfunctioning, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, coronary or cerebral thrombosis, low blood pressure, conjunctivitis, cerebral blood hemorrhage, back injury, chronic glaucoma, kidney problems, neck injury, throat or ear infections, infections in the head or neck, slipped disc or chronic catarrh should refrain from practicing headstand and shoulder stand
  • In some serious cases, people having highly impure blood may find these impurities moving into the brain while performing these poses and should refrain from practicing it.
  • Performing these poses is not advisable during menstruation or pregnancy.
  • It is recommended that the stomach is empty during this workshop. Please leave ample time after breakfast to fully digest before the start of the workshop.
