About the Event
This 2.5 hour quiet practice is focused on creating coherence, the quality of forming a unified whole, in the heart, mind and emotions. You will learn about the two main branches of the Autonomic Nervous System (the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Nervous Systems), and how to move out of the fight/flight response and into a state of rest, digestion and assimilation. You will learn specific techniques for developing and maintaining coherence while resting in restorative postures to help facilitate a deep state of relaxation. By the end of this workshop you will be more aware of how to maintain a state of balance and coherence during everyday life and challenging situations. This workshop is great for anyone looking to create a deeper inward connection, support the body's natural ability to heal, reduce the effects of stress, support the adrenal glands, reduce anxiety, and create more inner balance.

There are limited spaces for this workshop. Please register in advance to reserve your spot.
-Bring your own eye covering (eye mask, eye pillow, etc) and any other of your personal props that are available. Some props will be provided at the center, but more props are useful to help create deeper relaxation. You are also encouraged to bring a blanket to cover with, and dress in layers (socks, long sleeves, etc) in case you get cold.
-Some preparatory materials (reading/video) will be provided via email before the workshop to prepare you for the experience. It is important to review this information before the workshop. When we are able to understand what we are doing and why, it helps us assign meaning to what we are doing and achieve a deeper experience.
Please arrive 10-15 mins early to set up your place and settle in, we will begin promptly at 12pm.
